How do I pay the Town Municipal Council (TMC) property tax in Bangalore?

Paying your Town Municipal Council (TMC) property tax in Bangalore is a straightforward process. Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.

Step 1: Gather Required Documents

Before proceeding with the payment, ensure you have your previous tax-paid receipt. This receipt contains essential details such as:

  • Owner’s name
  • Property size
  • Village name of the property location

Step 2: Visit the TMC Office

  • Head to the TMC office in the jurisdiction where your property is located.

Step 3: Obtain the Tax Challan

At the tax counter, present your previous tax-paid receipt. The officer will issue a tax challan, which consists of three copies:

  • Bank Copy
  • TMC Copy
  • Citizen Copy

Step 4: Make the Payment at Tax counter or at nearest Bank of Baroda

Take the challan to the nearest Bank of Baroda and pay the property tax via:

  • Cash
  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card

Once the payment is made, the bank will acknowledge the transaction with a seal and signature on the challan
