Property specification was not mentioned in question. Lets assume an average specification, this gives you an idea to cost your own specification.

Below is the specification details:

• Painting Type: Repaint (only interior)
• Property Size : 3BHK flat -1500 Sq.ft build up area
• Color : Half white (Egg shell)
• Paintable area: Ceiling, wall, 5 doors, 7 window grill and Main door polish

Below is the costing sheet, which comprises of material, cost and lead time. We listed the cost for both 1 coat and 2 coat.

We didn’t add painter stool in above costing sheet, generally painters bring stool. A painter stool cost around Rs. 700 and just one stool suffice incase you require one.

In the above costing sheet, we considered the materials in upper limit, there are few scopes to bring down the material cost further. Listed few examples below

• If you flat has very minor damages like Tv wall mount, AC wall mount, few needle hole, strains and marks. Just the 2Kg of putty is suffice but we considered maximum of 5kg in cost sheet, most may go waste.
• 1 coat of repainting is good enough for ceiling and 2 coat of paint for ceiling may not necessary
• We added 9 inch and 4 inch brush in above costing sheet but generally painters bring they own paint rollers.

Using branded material alone is not suffice for quality work, its very important to use skilled labor, only skilled labors can deliver quality out come.

A poor skilled labor deliver poor outcome even if you provide high value branded material so be conscious of selecting good skilled labor.

Just 2 labor is suffice to do interior painting, one is skilled labor and another one is helper

• A skilled labor charge around Rs. 900 – 1500 per day
• A helper charge around Rs. 500 per day

Never ever compromise skilled labor for price, hire good skilled labor even though labor cost bit high.

In fresh painting, Its mandatory to add wall primer and at least 2 coat of wall painting.

Below is the cost sheet for fresh painting.

(We excluded putty cost in fresh painting, as putty work is part of construction work in fresh painting).

Apart from material cost mentioned in cost sheet, labor cost is applicable. Labor cost vary based on location and skill set of labor.

In metro city like Bangalore, a skilled labor cost between Rs. 900 – 1500 per day. A helper cost around Rs. 500 per day.

Require at least 2 labor, one is skilled labor and another one is helper.
