Documents Required for GBA eKhata

Before starting the application, keep the required documents ready.

The eAasthi portal displays the documents required for the eKhata application. Refer to the screenshot below for the document checklist.

Based on the documents shown on the portal, the following documents are generally required:

  • Aadhaar
  • Property Tax Receipt
  • Sale Deed
  • Property Photographs
  • BESCOM ID, where applicable
  • BWSSB ID, where applicable
  • Other supporting documents, depending on the property and application

The first four documents—Aadhaar, Property Tax Receipt, Sale Deed and Property Photographs—are generally required irrespective of whether the property is a building, flat or vacant site.

BESCOM and BWSSB details are applicable to properties where these utility connections exist, such as buildings and flats. These details are generally not applicable to vacant plots.

If you are applying for eKhata for an immediate property transfer, you may also need to provide the Encumbrance Certificate (EC) as part of the application.

Once you have the required documents, log in to the portal and click “Start Search”.

The portal provides multiple options for searching your property:
